SpecifiedField not being Auto-Set on Value Change

Jun 9, 2010 at 5:47 PM

When I generate a DTO from a Schema I get 2 Properties for Attributes marked Optional. Attribute & AttributeSpecified. When I set the Value of Attribute the AttributeSpecified Property is not changed to True. I noticed that this was a feature in the Classic WSCF but was not provided in the WSCF.Blue. This was a major factor in our Upgrading to Visual Studio 2010 - WSCF.Blue from Visual Studio 2008 - WSCF.Classic.

Is this something that is being worked on? If not I have created a Decorator which will auto-gen the Setting of AttributeSpecified to True on a Value Change of the Attribute Property.

Current WSCF.Blue Code I would need to do the following for Optional Fields:

Attribute = xyz;

AttributeSpecified = true;

With the Custom Decorator the Auto-Setting of the Specified:

Attribute = xyz;

Hi,

No, there is no active work item like this.., however, I will add this to a work item. The Decorator is indeed the way we would go about doing that ...

cheers
