SoapAction not taken from WSDL

Hello Everybody,

I generate web service code (client and server) from external WSDL and XSD files (not under my control). However, when I generate, the generated interface classes contain different soap actions and reply actions than the wsdl.

In the generated code, I have: [Namespace]/[InterfaceName]/[Operation]

In the WSDL: [Namespace]/[Operation]

Of course the generated client works as long I run it against my generated client. But as soon as I call the external service, it does not work anymore unless I modify the OperationContractAttribute by hand. (This makes sense since actions must match).

Is there any way to tell how to write the soap action into the OperationContractAttribute? Or am I getting anything wrong?

Many thanks and best regards.

Hi MM,

Are you selecting the "Format SOAP Actions" option? That will force the actions into the format you have described in the generated code. If you do not select that option the values from the WSDL should come through to the OperationContractAttribute.

Hey Alex,

Many thanks for your superfast reply. I tried your solution before and it did not seem to work.

I will try it again. Maybe I missed something.

Thanks a lot!
